Deliver a high level of professional leadership and social work clinical services within the Community Rehabilitation Program which provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary model of care for adult clients requiring community-based rehabilitation.
The Role
An opportunity has become available for several Social Workers – Senior (Rehabilitation) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Demonstrate extensive clinical experience and expertise in Community Rehabilitation
- Deliver high level social work skills for assessment, treatment and case management
- Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols
- Provide clinical leadership and professional supervision to ensure the maintenance of clinical standards
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- A tertiary degree in Social Work
- Eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Driver Licence
- Paid Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary part time (up to 2 months, 45.60 hours per fortnight)
- Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour

The Community Rehabilitation Program provides a comprehensive multidisciplinary, community-based rehabilitation service to adult clients over the age of 18 years. The program delivers a goal oriented, client centred, holistic model of restorative and adaptive therapy which focuses upon optimising functional capacity and quality of life. Clients of the service can be either transitioning from hospital to home or referred back from the community with identified rehabilitation needs.
