What you’ll do

You will join the Mechanical Maintenance team at Eraring Power Station with Origin Energy to complete a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade over four years. Your duties will include:

- Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on plant equipment.
- Working on turbines, pumps, motors, conveyors, coal feeders, ash handling equipment, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Assisting with maintenance activities on chemical plant systems.
- Completing manual and electronic maintenance records.
- Working in both workshop and site environments across various plant areas.
- Following strict safety procedures and PPE requirements.

- Show initiative and a strong work ethic.
- Work effectively within a team environment.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors and peers.
- Have basic computer skills.
- Take pride in developing their trade skills across a variety of mechanical equipment.

Must-haves

- Current drivers licence (provisional or above), or close to obtaining.
- White Card
- Willingness to obtain a National Criminal Check
- Willingness to undergo a full pre-employment medical, including a functional capacity assessment, audiometry, spirometry and drug and alcohol screening
