The Research Stewardship

Team supports this endeavour within its remit of research ethics, research integrity, research risk, and national security.

About the role The Research Administrator (Research Ethics) reports to the Manager, Research Ethics and is responsible for a provision of a wide range of research administrative support within the Research Ethics unit including initial triaging, monitoring, committee meeting organisation, insurance notifications, inbox and correspondence management and event management. You will be joining a team that values collaboration, integrity, continuous improvement, and flexibility in response to changing circumstances. If successful in applying for this role, you will be responsible for:

Providing high quality and efficient administrative support for the Research Ethics unit, other areas of the Research Stewardship Team and the broader Research Office as required.

Undertaking records keeping activities and ensuring that all official and required records are entered into UTS Content Manager and are compliant.





Providing administrative support to all aspects of the ethics application process and committee management including triaging, monitoring and data entry.

Assisting with the development of standard office processes and procedures. With examples, please outline in a separate document how you meet the following six (6) key selection criteria points:

Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, researchers and stakeholders across a range of disciplines

A high level of accuracy, literacy, numeracy and attention to detail.

The ability to work effectively and flexibly within a team setting.

Remuneration &

Benefits Base Salary Range: $78,352 to $83,807 pa (HEW 4) This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary. UTS staff also benefit from a wide range of Employee Benefits include flexible work practices, child care centres, generous parental leave and salary packaging opportunities. The role is eligible for hybrid working arrangements, however, it is an expectation that the incumbent attends in-person regularly (i.e. 3-days per week). This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
