About the Role We are seeking experienced Residential Care Workers / Youth Workers to support young children in a structured residential setting in Gladstone. This role requires a high level of professionalism, emotional intelligence, and the ability to manage complex behaviours while maintaining a secure and nurturing environment. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day care, implementing care plans, and supporting children with their developmental, emotional, and behavioural needs.

Key Responsibilities - Provide high-quality, trauma-informed care to children and young people - Support daily routines including personal care, meals, education, and activities - Implement individual care plans, behaviour support plans,



and risk assessments - Manage challenging behaviours using approved strategies and de-escalation techniques - Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and progress notes - Work collaboratively with families, case managers, and multidisciplinary teams - Ensure compliance with NDIS standards, Child Safety requirements, and organisational policies Requirements - Demonstrated experience working with children or young people in residential care or similar settings - Strong understanding of trauma-informed care and behaviour management - Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (or equivalent) – highly desirable - Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) - NDIS Worker Screening Clearance - Current First Aid and CPR certification - Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle - Ability to work shift, including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays - Competitive hourly rates aligned with SCHADS Award / NDIS standards - Ongoing training and professional development - Supportive team environment with structured supervision - Opportunities for career progression within a growing organization
