About the role

Elements Eatery is seeking a talented Chef/Cook to join our kitchen team on a casual basis. Based in Rosebud VIC 3939, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to contribute to our dynamic hospitality operation. As a Chef/Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences through the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals. This position offers flexibility and the chance to work in a fast-paced, creative kitchen environment where your culinary skills will be valued and developed.

Key responsibilities

1. Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and presentation standards
2. Maintain high standards of food quality, consistency and portion control
3. Ensure all food items are stored, handled and prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
4. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
5. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to meet service demands during peak periods
6. Assist with menu preparation, food ordering and inventory management as required
7. Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment in all areas of the kitchen
8. Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols
9. Respond professionally to feedback and contribute to continuous improvement in kitchen operations

What we're looking for

1. Relevant qualifications or formal training in hospitality, cookery or culinary arts
2. Proven experience working in a professional kitchen environment
3. Solid knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods and presentation standards
4. Sound understanding of food safety, hygiene practices and allergen management
5.



Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet service times consistently
6. Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
7. Physical fitness and stamina to stand for extended periods and handle repetitive tasks
8. Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality
9. Flexibility and reliability, particularly for casual shift work
10. A passion for food and hospitality with a genuine desire to deliver excellent customer experiences
