Position: SAP Project System (PS) Consultant

We are looking for a highly experienced SAP Project System (PS) Consultant with 10+ years of expertise in implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP PS solutions across diverse industries. The ideal candidate should possess strong functional knowledge of project planning, budgeting, cost management, resource management, settlement processes, and integration with other SAP modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, PP, and S/4HANA.

The consultant will be responsible for leading end-to-end implementations, business process transformations, solution design, and production support while serving as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders.

Must Have Skills

SAP PS Functional Expertise

- 10+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Project System (PS) implementation and support.
- Strong expertise in Project Structuring:

o Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

o Project Definition o Network Activities o Milestones o Project Versions

- Expertise in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Experience in project execution and monitoring processes.
- Strong knowledge of Results Analysis and Settlement processes.
- Experience in project lifecycle management from initiation to closure.
- Expertise in configuration and customization of SAP PS processes.

SAP S/4HANA

- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
- Experience with SAP PS functionality in S/4HANA environments.
- Knowledge of Fiori applications related to Project Systems.

Integration Experience

- Strong integration knowledge with:

o SAP Finance (FI)

o SAP Controlling (CO)

o SAP Materials Management (MM)

o SAP Sales & Distribution (SD)

o SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)





o SAP Production Planning (PP)

o SAP Asset Accounting (AA)

Business Process Expertise

- Capital projects management.
- Internal projects management.
- Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) project processes.
- CAPEX/OPEX project accounting.
- Resource and capacity planning.

Project Delivery

- Experience leading end-to-end implementation projects.
- Expertise in requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
- Experience preparing Functional Specifications (FS) and working with ABAP developers.
- Strong experience in SIT, UAT, defect management, and Go-Live support.

Should Have Skills

Advanced SAP PS Capabilities

- Experience with Investment Management (IM).
- Knowledge of Portfolio and Project Management (PPM).
- Familiarity with Commercial Project Management processes.
- Exposure to SAP Enterprise Project Connection (EPC).

Reporting & Analytics
- Experience with:

o SAP Embedded Analytics o SAP BW/BW4HANA o SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

o CDS Views

- Ability to design project reporting and KPIs.

Fiori & User Experience
- Working knowledge of SAP Fiori Apps related to Project Systems.
- Ability to support business users on Fiori-based project execution processes.

Data Migration

- Experience in master and transactional data migration.
- Familiarity with SAP Migration Cockpit and LSMW.




- Knowledge of cutover planning and execution.

Project Methodology

- Experience in SAP Activate methodology.
- Exposure to Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall delivery models.
- Knowledge of business process re-engineering and SAP best practices.

Support & Governance
- Experience in AMS/Production support environments.
- Incident, problem, and change management expertise.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes.

Good to Have Skills

SAP Cloud Solutions

- SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) exposure.
- SAP Cloud ALM experience.
- Experience integrating SAP PS with cloud-based project management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead SAP PS implementation, rollout, enhancement, and support projects.
- Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP PS solutions.
- Configure project structures, budgeting, planning, scheduling, and settlement processes.
- Design integration points with FI/CO, MM, SD, PM, PP, and Asset Accounting.
- Support project accounting, capitalization, and financial reporting processes.
- Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with development teams.
- Conduct workshops, testing sessions, and user training activities.
- Manage project defects, enhancements, and change requests.
- Provide production support and resolve critical business issues.
- Support SAP S/4HANA transformation and digital initiatives.
- Mentor junior consultants and provide functional leadership.
