About the role

The Pet Butcher is seeking experienced Food Production Workers to join our dynamic team in Hindmarsh, SA. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in our manufacturing and production operations. As a Food Production Worker, you will be at the heart of our production process, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency in the preparation and processing of Australia's leading pet food products. Your contribution will be essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence and meeting the needs of our valued customers.

Hours will be split over two rosters - 5.30am - 1.30pm or 7am - 3pm Monday to Friday

Key responsibilities

- Operate and maintain food processing equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with company procedures and health and safety regulations

- Prepare raw materials and ingredients for production, including sorting, weighing and portioning according to specified recipes and standards

- Monitor and control production processes to ensure products meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements

- Maintain accurate records of production activities, including batch numbers, quantities produced and any issues encountered

- Perform regular cleaning and sanitation of work areas, equipment and utensils to maintain hygiene standards

- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and deadlines

- Identify and report quality issues, equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management immediately

- Follow all food safety protocols, including proper handling of materials and adherence to HACCP principles





- Assist with packaging and labelling of finished products as required

What we're looking for

- Previous experience working in food production, manufacturing or a related environment

- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, including HACCP principles

- Ability to operate food processing equipment safely and competently

- Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks and work in a production environment for extended periods

- Reliable, punctual and able to work consistently as part of a team

- A proactive approach to health and safety in the workplace
