Role Description The Senior Account Executive is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ascot, Qld. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial clients, including assessing risk profiles, structuring insurance programs, and coordinating policy placement across multiple insurers. The role includes conducting client meetings, preparing proposals and renewals, reviewing coverage against business changes, and providing proactive advice on policy terms and conditions.

Executive will oversee claims in collaboration with insurers and internal stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with clients.



Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate documentation, supporting compliance with regulatory requirements, contributing to business development, and mentoring junior team members where required.

Qualifications

- Strong client relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex insurance concepts clearly and build long-term partnerships.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial insurance broking or underwriting, ideally within hospitality, medical, construction, or other business sectors.
- Proficiency in analyzing risk, reviewing contracts and business operations, and structuring tailored insurance and risk transfer programs.
- Solid claims management capabilities, including coordination with insurers, documentation, negotiation, and advocacy on behalf of clients.
- Familiarity with Australian general insurance regulation and compliance requirements, including AFSL-related obligations.
- High level of organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines effectively.
- Comfort with insurance broking systems and common office software (e.g., CRM tools, policy management platforms, MS Office).
- Relevant qualifications such as Tier 1 in General Insurance, Diploma in Insurance Broking, or equivalent industry certification; further professional development is highly regarded.
- Experience working within a broker network or similar environment and contributing to team-based service delivery and continuous improvement.
