Senior Accountant with Leadership Ability

A growing project-based business is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant / Finance Lead to look after its finance function and contribute to the ongoing commercial success of the organisation.

Reporting to the executive leadership team, this role offers a broad remit across financial management, strategic planning, business partnering, and operational leadership. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, improving systems and processes, and providing commercial insights to support business growth.

This opportunity would suit a hands-on Senior Accountant who enjoys balancing day-to-day financial operations with strategic financial leadership in a dynamic and evolving workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Someone who is going to grow with the business

CIMA (ACMA/FCMA/CGMA) holders

Confidence to own the finance function

Lead the end-to-end finance function,



including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial administration.

Manage month-end and year-end reporting processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.

Deliver meaningful financial analysis and performance insights to support strategic decision-making.

Maintain strong financial controls, governance, and reporting frameworks across the business.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Commercial Analysis

Lead annual budgeting and regular forecasting processes.

Develop and maintain project pipeline forecasts and business performance models.

Provide strategic financial analysis, profitability reporting, and tax planning insights.

Support executive leadership with commercial recommendations and business performance initiatives.

Cash Flow & Working Capital Management

Manage company-wide cash flow forec
