Senior Advisor, Strategic Planning & Assurance - Wellington, Permanent Full Time Ehara taku toa i te toa takitahi, engari he toa takitini. Success is not the work of one, but the work of many. Te Haeata/The Opportunity Help hold the strategic picture together for Policy Group.

We're looking for Senior Advisors to join our Strategic Planning and Assurance Unit, which sits within Policy Group. The Unit is responsible for policy work programme planning and prioritisation, strategic co-ordination and planning of regulatory stewardship, and people capability and development. The Unit also supports the Ministry's strategic co-ordination of responses to Waitangi Tribunal inquiries.

You will have strong experience in embedding robust stewardship, and co-ordinating and advising on the management of Inquiries, including managing material risks and issues. You will have a sound understanding of Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles and Maori-Crown relationships, and the ability to engage respectfully on sensitive issues and build trust across a wide range of relationships. You'll also contribute to embedding stewardship across regulatory systems.

a good understanding of the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori–Crown relationships, sound judgement and the ability to work with limited direction, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. A relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) and the right to work in New Zealand are essential.

Utu ā-tau/Salary The appointing salary for this role will be between $112,766 to $145,388, and will be based on skills and experience.
