The Senior Agile & Technical Business Analyst is a senior delivery role responsible for connecting business initiatives, customer outcomes and technology solutions. You will lead discovery, business and technical analysis and solution delivery readiness across Metricon's strategic initiatives.
Working closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Architects and Engineering teams, you will translate complex business needs into scalable, practical and measurable solutions. Through strong stakeholder engagement, technical expertise and agile delivery practices, you will drive clarity, alignment and successful business outcomes while championing continuous improvement, innovation and customer value.
Your responsibilities will include
- Business Needs - Design and facilitate workshops to elicit stakeholder needs and achieve a collective understanding of what needs to be delivered
- Review and drive prioritisation of user stories, ensuring they meet acceptance criteria. Ensure all business rules are covered, and the functionality of the user story is complete for execution
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among delivery teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify new project opportunities and potential areas for business improvement
- Continuous Improvement - Leverage existing continuous improvement systems and procedures to improve outcomes, quality, and efficiency of work
- Manage complex and sensitive consultations and negotiations with diverse stakeholders, within agreed timelines, given their varying expectations, viewpoints and interests
- Respond flexibly to ensure the achievement of multiple project objectives, given limited resources and tight deadlines, and the need to identify project interdependencies and balance competing demands and priorities
- Implement systems and right touch processes that underpin high quality output and analysis
- Lead & Navigate Change - Assess situations and identify the best systems tools for analysing, understanding the system and addressing problems
- Apply system archetypes to identify common dynamics that appear in different situations; considering the wider business context within the business unit when considering options to resolve issues
- Deliver tangible business outcomes as a result of critically evaluating problems from multiple perspectives and delivering effective solutions
- Provide regular constructive feedback to build on strengths and achieve results; and
- Support change initiatives by understanding the rationale for change, shares information, corrects wrong perceptions or information and seeks clarification where there are ambiguities.

The successful candidate will have:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst, Senior Business Analyst, Agile Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst in complex technology environments
- Demonstrated experience delivering initiatives across CRM, ERP, operational platforms, digital, integration, data/reporting or enterprise applications
- Strong capability in requirements elicitation, process mapping, story mapping, backlog refinement,
user stories, business rules and acceptance criteria
- Proven ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical requirements that are fit for architecture, development, testing, vendor delivery and operational support
- Experience working with Agile delivery teams, Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT, release readiness and post-implementation review
- Practical understanding of APIs, integrations, data flows, system configuration, non-functional requirements, environments and defect triage
- Ability to work with Architects, Developers, Testers, Application Support, vendors, Product Owners and senior business stakeholders
- Strong communication, facilitation, negotiation and influencing skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical topics for non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, competing priorities, delivery risks and cross-functional dependencies; and
- Experience producing clear documentation, decision papers, process maps, technical handover material and training/support artefacts.
Desired Experience:
- CBAP, Agile, Scrum, Product Owner or BABOK certification
- Experience in residential construction, property, customer portals, sales, operations, finance or field / service platforms
- Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure DevOps, Power BI, SQL, APIs, integration platforms or enterprise workflow systems
- Experience with vendor-delivered platforms, COTS configuration, SaaS implementation or enterprise application support transition
- Familiarity with ITIL, change management and service transition practices; and
- Experience using Jira / Azure DevOps, Confluence / SharePoint, Visio / Lucid / Miro and Figma or equivalent tools.
