We are seeking an experienced Senior Application & Systems Developer to join a large, complex government transformation program. This is a hands-on development role focused on enhancing and maintaining critical business applications, document templates, and web-based solutions during a period of significant organisational change.

Working within a collaborative technology team, you will play a key role in delivering application improvements, template uplifts, system remediation activities, and urgent business-driven enhancements.

About the Role

As the Senior Application & Systems Developer, you will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and corporate services to identify requirements, solve complex problems, and deliver high-quality outcomes.

You will be responsible for:

- Delivering enhancements, changes, and application updates using Agile delivery methodologies
- Collaborating with business and technology stakeholders to analyse issues and define solutions
- Contributing cutting-edge ideas and recommendations to address short, medium, and long-term challenges
- Supporting compliance with organisational policies, governance, risk, and security requirements
- Redeveloping, enhancing, and maintaining .NET applications
- Redeveloping and maintaining Microsoft Word templates, including macro and non-macro solutions
- Developing and supporting web-based applications,



systems, and reporting solutions
- Assisting with planning, testing, documentation, and deployment of application updates
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the application landscape

Technical Skills & Experience To be successful, you will demonstrate experience across:
- C#, .NET Framework, .NET Core and the broader .NET technology stack
- Visual Studio development setting
- Microsoft Web API and RESTful architecture
- SQL Server
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Automated testing frameworks
- Web application development and support
- Microsoft Word template development and maintenance

Essential Requirements

You will have

- Previous experience working within government or large-scale service delivery environments
- A proven ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in fast-paced, changing environments
- Experience working within Agile delivery teams using Jira, ServiceNow, or similar tools
- Strong problem-solving, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and take ownership of outcomes
- A cooperative and adaptable approach to working across business and technology teams





Contract Details
- Initial 12-month contract
- Two additional 12-month extension options
- Up to 40 hours per week
- Hybrid working arrangement with occasional office attendance for workshops and meetings
- Locations available across NSW, VIC and QLD
- Estimated start date: September 2026
- Police check required
- Must hold a Baseline Security Clearance
