Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and support backend microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot .
- Build REST/gRPC APIs , event-driven services, and integrations using Kafka , IBM MQ , and related technologies.
- Develop scalable business logic, maintain PostgreSQL databases, and manage database migrations with Flyway or Liquibase .
- Write automated tests, support CI/CD pipelines, and ensure application performance, monitoring, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-quality solutions and modernise legacy banking applications.

Required Skills & Experience




- 5+ years of backend development experience with Java (11/17+) , Spring Boot , and microservices.
- Solid experience with REST APIs , Kafka or IBM MQ , and event-driven architectures.
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL/SQL Server , Docker , Kubernetes , Git , and CI/CD .
- Experience with JUnit , Mockito , AWS/Azure , and modern software development practices.
- Banking or Financial Services experience is preferred. Exposure to Trade Finance , SWIFT messaging , Python , Temporal/Camunda , or Drools is a plus.
