Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and evaluate educational programs in accordance with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
- Develop a lifelong love of learning through child-led enquiries, connections to local primary school and positive experiences within the community.
- Plan and deliver engaging learning experiences that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language development.
- Evaluate educational programs allowing for the unique and individual interests and strengths of each child.
- Observe, assess and document each children's learning and developmental progress.
- Build strong partnerships with families to share insights and gain an understanding of each child's unique background.
- Create a secure, inclusive and stimulating learning environment that promotes children's wellbeing and participation.
- Support children's individual learning needs and encourage their independence and confidence.
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF), National Quality Standards (NQS), Child Safe Standards, and relevant regulations.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide guidance and support to educators and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
- Motivate, mentor and lead a team of educators within the learning environment.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor Degree or higher qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field recognised for Early Childhood Teaching in Australia.
- Minimum one year of relevant post-qualification experience as an Early Childhood Teacher (preferred).
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), National Quality Standards (NQS), and relevant legislation.
- Robust understanding of child development and early childhood education principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
- Comply with the centres policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation & regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a kindergarten program and mentor educators.
- Experience using digital platforms for observations, assessments and family communications.
- Experience in creating and implementing engaging educational programs is essential.
- Ability to plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational programs.
- Strong observation, assessment and documentation skills.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis Management Certificates (or ability to obtain).
