About the role

Soulful-Abilities Support is seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Disability Support Worker to join our team in Sheidow Park, SA. In this casual role, you will play a vital part in providing personalised care and support to individuals with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and with dignity.

What you'll be doing

1. Assisting clients with their daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks

2. Accompanying and supporting clients during community access and social engagement activities

3. Advocating for clients' rights and ensuring their needs and preferences are met

4. Collaborating with the wider care team to develop and implement personalised support plans

5. Maintaining detailed client records and reporting on progress

6. Promoting a safe and inclusive setting for all clients

What we’re looking for

1. A Certificate III in Individual Support (equivalent or working towards)

2. Previous experience in a similar disability support role, preferably in a community-based setting

3. A genuine passion for supporting individuals with a range of disabilities and empowering them to achieve their goals

4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills,



with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients

5. The ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team

6. A current driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle

7. A willingness to undergo a National Police Check and obtain a Working with Children Check
