Melbourne CBD | Hybrid, 3 days in office | $140,000 to $160,000 plus super An ASX listed Australian financial services group is standing up a new Fabric data platform and seeking a Data Engineer to build it. You will owns the data lake, warehouse and pipeline architecture the business runs its decisions on, with real scope to shape how it is built.

- Microsoft Fabric and Power BI platform being built from the ground up
- Migrating off Snowflake and Tableau
- Terraform and Kubernetes across the broader engineering workplace
- AI enabled engineering is a genuine daily practice; it needs to be part of your workflow
- Direct ownership of the group's core decisioning data ecosystem

What You'll Be Doing

- Building and maintaining the data lake, warehouse and pipeline architecture
- Ingesting, curating and standardising internal and third party data




- Implementing governance frameworks including versioning and audit trails
- Partnering directly with stakeholders across the business on their data needs
- Piloting new data driven capability as the platform matures

What We're Looking For

- Experience building and owning data pipelines end to end - Microsoft Fabric and Power BI
- Exposure to Snowflake and Tableau desirable
- Demonstrable use of AI tools as part of your engineering workflow
- Comfort operating independently with non technical stakeholders
- Terraform and Kubernetes experience preferred
- Experience in financial services or another regulated industry is an advantage
