JS Careers is partnering with an established financial services business that is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join its Digital Portals Engineering Team.

This is a hands-on data engineering role with a strong AI and platform modernisation focus. You will work across data pipelines, cloud data warehousing and AI-driven analytics as part of an integration project.

The role would suit an experienced data engineer who enjoys building enterprise-grade data solutions from the ground up.

What you'll be working on:

- Designing, building, and optimising scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across legacy systems and modern cloud environments.
- Developing enterprise data warehouses and centralising data assets to support advanced analytics.
- Exploring and embedding AI/ML capabilities into the core data architecture to drive automated insights.
- Enhancing data quality, governance frameworks, and system performance across the environment.




- Collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver high-impact data solutions.

About you:

- Strong background in data engineering, enterprise data warehousing, and cloud data architecture.
- Broad experience with relational databases, enterprise ETL/integration platforms, and cloud warehouse technologies.
- Demonstrated expertise in data modelling, SQL optimisation, and pipeline design.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure) and exposure to AI/ML data tooling is highly regarded.
- Strong communication skills with a track record of effective stakeholder engagement.
- Informatica experience is essential
