? Senior Drupal Web Developer (EL1 Equivalent) | Contract Chance | ACT / VIC | Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Senior Drupal Web Developer for an exciting Australian Government contract opportunity.

Role Details:

? Location: Canberra (ACT) / Melbourne (VIC)

? Work Arrangement: Hybrid

? Contract: 6 Months + 6 Month Extension

? Start Date: 24 August 2026

? Security Clearance: Not Required

⏰ Full-time: 37.5 Hours per Week

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain and enhance Drupal websites and custom modules
- Build and support frontend and backend web applications
- Improve website performance, security and analytics
- Ensure accessibility, usability and user-centred design compliance
- Troubleshoot complex web issues, caching, integrations and performance incidents
- Lead code reviews, source control, testing and quality assurance activities
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, technical specialists and vendors
- Support website enhancements, content publishing and technical documentation

Essential Skills:





✔ Extensive Drupal development experience (including custom module development)

✔ Strong knowledge of website security, performance optimisation and analytics

✔ Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG) and user-centred design

✔ Expertise in troubleshooting web applications and integrations

✔ Experience with Git, code review, CI/CD, testing and QA processes

✔ Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills

Desirable:

✔ Experience working collaboratively with internal teams, business stakeholders and external service providers.
