What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, develop and deploy scalable backend services using Kotlin and Java
- Build and enhance microservices within a cloud-native environment
- Develop event-driven systems using technologies such as Kafka or similar messaging platforms
- Design and build secure, high-performance REST APIs
- Collaborate with Product Managers,
Architects and Engineers to deliver business-critical solutions
- Contribute to architectural decisions and engineering standards
- Write clean, maintainable and well-tested code
- Participate in code reviews and mentor other engineers where required
- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices
What You’ll Bring
- Strong commercial experience with Kotlin and Java
- Experience designing and building microservices
- Strong understanding of event-driven architecture and distributed systems
- Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar event streaming technologies
- Cloud experience across Azure, AWS or GCP
Nice to Have
- Terraform or Infrastructure as Code
- PostgreSQL, SQL Server or MongoDB
- Exposure to observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus or Datadog
