Are you an experienced Identity Engineer looking to work on one of Australia's largest enterprise identity transformation programmes?
We're partnering with a global organisation that is investing heavily in modernising its authentication and identity platforms. This is a rare opportunity to join a highly skilled Authentication Services team where you'll play a key role in shaping the future of enterprise identity.
This isn't a BAU support position. The business is undertaking a large-scale transformation, migrating away from legacy authentication protocols and modernising its Active Directory environment. We're looking for someone who understands Active Directory inside and out, ideally up to architecture level, and can help design, deliver and support a modern hybrid identity platform built around Microsoft Entra ID.
What you'll be doing
You'll provide technical leadership across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, taking ownership of enterprise authentication services and driving improvements across the identity landscape.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Designing and evolving enterprise Active Directory architecture.
- Leading the migration from legacy authentication protocols to modern authentication standards.
- Designing secure hybrid identity solutions across Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Building and optimising Conditional Access policies and authentication services.
- Automating identity processes using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
- Supporting application onboarding and authentication integrations.
- Troubleshooting complex identity and authentication issues across enterprise environments.
- Working closely with Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Application teams to improve authentication services across the organisation.
What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced Identity professional with strong engineering capability and deep technical knowledge of Microsoft identity technologies.
You'll ideally have:
- Extensive experience with Active Directory , including design and architecture.
- Solid hands‑on experience with Microsoft Entra ID in enterprise environments.
- Experience delivering Active Directory modernisation or enterprise identity transformation programmes.
- Strong understanding of hybrid identity, SAML, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), Conditional Access and Multi‑Factor Authentication.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting, automation and Microsoft Graph.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across complex authentication environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
