Our services have a strong focus on prevention and early intervention and enable access to safe accommodation options, Holistic case management, community outreach programs and programs that teach vital independent living skills. About the role

As an After Hours Youth Support Worker, you will have the opportunity to provide compassionate and consistent support to young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness within a crisis accommodation setting. Working alongside the case management team, you will help implement individual support plans while fostering a safe, positive, and therapeutic environment. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people as they work towards stability and independence. Reporting to the Senior Case Manager, we have multiple casual positions available, based on-site in Shepparton, VIC.

Conditions

Compensation is in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award (SCHADS) - Level 4.

How you will make an impact

- Provide a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment for young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness
- Empower residents to build independence through life skills development, wellbeing support, and community engagement
- Work alongside the case management team to support young people in accessing housing, education, employment, health,



and other essential services
- Maintain accurate records and effective handovers to support the smooth operation of the crisis accommodation program
- Foster positive relationships, respond to risks, and contribute to improved outcomes for young people

What you will bring

- Minimum Diploma level qualification in Community Services, Social Services or related field
- Relevant experience in a social service environment preferably youth sector
- A current VIC Driver's Licence
- A current Employee Working with Children Check
