As part of continued growth in Australia, our client is establishing a new bioanalytical laboratory and is seeking a Bioanalytical Senior Scientist to play a key role in developing laboratory capabilities and delivering high-quality bioanalytical services within a regulated environment.

About the Role

The Bioanalytical Senior Scientist will lead scientific and technical activities within the bioanalytical laboratory, supporting the establishment and continuous development of laboratory capabilities while ensuring the delivery of high-quality bioanalytical services in accordance with applicable regulatory and quality standards.

The position will be responsible for bioanalytical method development and validation, implementation of laboratory technologies, optimisation of laboratory operations, support of PK/PD laboratory activities and scientific collaboration. The successful candidate will also contribute to laboratory expansion, implementation of innovative technologies and continuous improvement initiatives while supporting the organisation's strategic scientific and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead bioanalytical method development, optimisation and validation for regulated studies.
- Perform and oversee bioanalytical sample analysis using LC-MS/MS and other relevant analytical techniques.
- Support the establishment, implementation and continuous improvement of laboratory operations, systems and workflows.
- Support pharmacokinetic (PK) and pharmacodynamic (PD)



bioanalytical studies from method development through to reporting.
- Ensure laboratory activities comply with GLP, GCP and applicable quality standards.
- Assist with the implementation, qualification and maintenance of laboratory equipment and technologies.
- Prepare scientific reports, study documentation and technical records.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external clients to deliver high-quality scientific outcomes.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support future laboratory expansion.
- Provide technical guidance and scientific support across laboratory projects.

Skills & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Life Sciences or a related scientific discipline.
- Demonstrated experience working within a regulated bioanalytical laboratory.
- Strong experience with LC-MS/MS bioanalysis, method development and method validation.
- Working knowledge of GLP, GCP and laboratory quality systems.
- Experience supporting PK and/or PD bioanalytical studies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
