The Rockingham Beach Education Support Centre (ESC) community believes that all children can learn and develop skills across all curriculum areas. Rockingham Beach ESC is known for its strong and inclusive school culture, with a explicit focus on supporting and mentoring staff to ensure they reach their full professional potential.

Rockingham Beach ESC shares a site with Rockingham Beach Primary School. We currently have 70 students enrolled from Kindergarten to Year 6. The curriculum programs are enriched through a range of regular opportunities, including excursions, annual school camps, swimming lessons and horse-riding programs, which support students’ engagement and development across all areas.

The Role

As an Education Support Teacher at Rockingham Beach ESC you will ideally embrace our whole school vision of ‘Building brilliant futures for our families’ and our whole school instructional programs of Talk 4 Writing, Read Write Inc., Zones of Regulation, PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies), Protective Behaviours and Positive Behaviour Support. Experience in using explicit instruction strategies is highly desirable.

Suitable applicants should be genuine innovators that are prepared to be flexible and responsive, with the capacity to meet the diverse needs and learning styles in a mixed ability and multi-age classroom setting. Teachers will ideally display the ability to effectively manage classroom teams and work collaboratively with parents, therapists, and other professionals to support the educational and care needs of our students.
