About the Role

Aramex Sydney is looking for a Senior Fleet Manager to join the team. Their job will be to oversee, lead and manage all operational activities on site including management of the fleet manager team, freight sorters, AM Courier loading, outside hire and contractor management, Courier Franchisee remuneration, New Courier Franchisee training and management, GCCD compliance, pickup performance of couriers managed, aged freight rotation and always ensuring Site Safety and compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead and develop Fleet Managers, courier franchisees, contractors and operational teams.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with all WHS policies and procedures.
- Drive fleet performance, productivity and service excellence through best-practice operational processes.
- Manage courier franchise training, onboarding, remuneration and performance.




- Monitor and improve delivery and pickup performance against service targets.
- Analyse operational data and provide daily, weekly and monthly business performance reporting.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve service issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to operational projects and business improvement programs.
- Manage aged freight reduction, contractor performance and fleet optimisation activities.

To be successful in this role:

- Minimum 2 years of management or team leadership role in fleet, transport, or logistics operations
- Demonstrated success in managing large teams in a quick-paced operational environment
- Well-developed influencing skills.
- Competent computer skills.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all business levels.
- Managing performance of people to targets.
- Identify and communicate areas for improvement and implementation.
- Knowledge of routing, fleet optimization, and resource planning systems (preferred)
- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related discipline (preferred)
