As a team, we decided to do something a little different. Instead of another "Senior Hairdresser WANTED" advertisement, we thought we'd write a letter to the person we hope will become our newest edit salon team member.... So Here is our Letter to (hopefully) you. ________

Dear Future Edit Team Member, There's a pretty incredible team of humans waiting to meet you here at The Edit Salon. (Yes... we're talking about us! )

We're all a little different here at EDIT, and we like it that way.

We laugh... a lot. We support each other, celebrate the little wins and genuinely enjoy coming to work each day. So, if you have a good sense of humour, you'll fit right in.

Bonus points if you're not afraid to bust out a dance move every now and then. We can't promise we'll be any good, but we can promise we'll cheer you on.

Someone who understands that sometimes the best part of an appointment isn't the colour, the foils or the perfect blow dry.

It's making someone feel seen.

It's the confidence they leave with.

We're already fortunate to have an established clientele and busy columns waiting for the right person.

We're The Edit Salon & Co. For the past 18 years, we've been creating beautiful hair, meaningful careers and lifelong client relationships across our two Adelaide salon locations, Parkside and Mawson Lakes.

This opportunity is based at our beautiful Parkside salon. However, we're always open to meeting exceptional people, so if Mawson Lakes is a better fit for you, we'd still love to hear from you.

Over nearly two decades, we've welcomed thousands of clients through our doors, built an incredibly loyal client base and, most importantly,



created a workplace that many of our team have chosen to call home for years.

While our industry has evolved, one thing has never changed.

Back in 2008, our vision was easy. We wanted to create a salon for the stylists who had never quite found where they fit.

The black sheep. The rainbow sheep. The apprentices who found their training tough. The stylists who had lost confidence. The experienced hairdressers who had forgotten why they fell in love with this industry in the first place. We wanted to create a home away from home. A place where our team genuinely looked forward to coming to work, and..

where our clients became friends, the conversations mattered just as much as the hair and where there was no pressure to become someone you weren't, no unrealistic expectations and no endless focus on selling products.

Back then, our philosophy was Affordable Luxury.

Not because luxury meant marble benches or expensive coffee.

To us, luxury meant making every person who walked through our doors feel welcomed, comfortable, cared for and genuinely seen.

Eighteen years later, our salons have evolved, but our philosophy hasn't.

We still believe the best salons aren't built on ego. They're built on Respect, kindness, loyalty, laughter, fun, deep conversations, integrity and on a team that genuinely enjoys showing up for one another every single day.

The Edit Salon & Co. _________________ The Details of The Position:

- Our beautiful salon is located in the heart of Parkside (Unley), just across from Jenny's Bakery.
- RESERVED off street parking, because driving around looking for a park before work isn't anyone's idea of a great start to the day.
- Casual and permanent opportunities available, with rates of $40+ per hour. Paid Weekly pay, because waiting two weeks feels far too long.
- A consistent Tuesday to Saturday roster, providing routine while still allowing flexibility when life calls for it. Work-life balance isn't a buzzword here, it's how we've always operated. School drop offs matter. Saturday morning sport matters. Doctor's appointments matter. Personal days matter. Whatever is important to you, we believe your career should fit your life, not compete with it.

And that's not just something we say. It's genuinely how we work!





Our team make it to weekend sport, school events and the moments that matter most. Sometimes someone simply needs a Saturday off, and that's okay too.

- All salon tools are provided through your personal "By Edit Kit", including heat tools, brushes, clips and clippers. (Scissors are excluded, although shared salon scissors are available.)
- You'll never be expected to answer the salon phone. Ever. We have a dedicated full time Customer Service Manager, allowing you to focus on what you do best, looking after your clients.
- Our in-house Customer Service Team manages bookings, enquiries, confirmations and client follow up, so you can spend more time behind the chair and less time behind a computer.
- You'll always have support.

Our Customer Service

Manager and Team Leader are there to help, guide, listen and support you, both professionally and personally.

- Direct access to the owner. No corporate hierarchy. No jumping through hoops. Just open communication, honest conversations and someone who's always in your corner.
- Complimentary hair services for all team members on our designated pre scheduled hair days, because we believe you deserve to enjoy the same experience we provide our clients.
- We take lunch breaks seriously. They're not a luxury, they're a necessity. You'll always have time to recharge.
- Need five minutes between clients for a coffee, some fresh air or simply to reset? Take it. We encourage it, and those breaks are never deducted from your pay.
- Education is always encouraged and supported, but never forced. We believe learning should inspire you, not feel like another obligation.
