About the Opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity for an employment or industrial relations lawyer to join a leading Australian organisation during a significant period of growth and transformation.

Following the recent acquisition of a major industrial services business, the organisation is integrating a substantial workforce across multiple jurisdictions, creating a unique opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer to play a key role in supporting workforce integration, industrial strategy and organisational change.

Working closely with the Head of Workplace Relations, HR and senior business leaders, you will provide pragmatic legal advice on complex employment and industrial relations matters across a diverse, highly unionised workforce.

About the Role:

This is a broad advisory role where you will partner with the business on a range of strategic workplace matters, including:

- Advising on enterprise bargaining and industrial strategy.
- Managing complex industrial disputes and union negotiations.




- Supporting the employment aspects of acquisitions, organisational change and workforce integration.
- Advising on the interpretation and application of awards, enterprise agreements and workplace legislation.
- Providing strategic advice on payroll compliance, industrial compliance and employment risk.
- Supporting litigation and regulatory matters where required.
- Developing practical workplace policies, frameworks and governance initiatives.
- Coaching senior leaders on complex workplace relations issues and helping drive commercially sound outcomes.

About You:

You will be an employment or industrial relations lawyer with the ability to provide commercially focused legal advice in a complex operating environment.

Ideally, you will bring:

- Experience gained in private practice or in-house advising on employment and industrial relations matters.
- Strong knowledge of the Fair Work Act, up-to-date awards and enterprise agreements.
- Experience advising on enterprise bargaining, industrial disputes and workplace compliance.
- Exposure to mergers, acquisitions, workforce integration or organisational change will be highly regarded.
- The confidence to partner directly with senior leaders and provide practical, risk-based legal advice.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
