Senior Social Worker – Safeguarding Team within Children’s Social Care in Croydon UK earning £37.52 hourly. Full Time and Part Time roles available. What you will do

- Manage a complex caseload involving child protection, children in need, looked after children, and court proceedings, ensuring robust safeguarding of young people.
- Undertake statutory assessments, risk assessments,



and reviews in line with the Children Act 1989 and “Working Together to Safeguard Children” guidance.
- Lead safeguarding investigations and contribute to strategy discussions, case conferences, and core group meetings to ensure thorough preventative measures.
- Develop, implement, and review outcome-focused care and support plans catering to the unique needs of children and families.
- Provide professional guidance, mentoring, and practice leadership to less experienced social workers and ASYE practitioners, sharing your expertise and knowledge.

Person Specification

- Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW or equivalent recognised social work qualification.
- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Career development (CPD).
- Practice Educator Award or relevant post-qualifying qualification desirable.
- Current registration with Social Work England.
- Enhanced DBS clearance.
- Solid understanding of legislation such as the Children Act 1989 and 2004, Working Together to Safeguard Children, Human Rights Act 1998, and the Equality Act 2010.
