Salary: $46.3567 per hour (Clerk Grade 3)
Your role: As a casual Community Service Field Officer, you will supervise and manage offenders serving community service orders while coordinating the logistics and operations of community service worksites. The role requires strong communication skills, resilience, and a commitment to helping offenders reintegrate and contribute positively to the community.
What You’ll Do
- Supervise offenders during community service, ensuring safety and adherence to protocols.
- Direct tasks, monitor behaviour, and ensure compliance with Work Health and Safety standards.
- Collaborate with community agencies and arrange transportation for offenders to and from worksites.
- Support a team focused on enhancing community safety and promoting offender rehabilitation.
What We’re Looking For
- Ability to supervise and manage offenders while ensuring safety and adherence to conduct policies.
- Solid understanding of Work Health and Safety principles and practices.
- Exceptional communication skills for liaising with community agencies and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in transporting offenders and coordinating logistics for community service worksites.
Essential Requirements
- Casual employment under Section 43 of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013.
- Ability to work up to 38 hours per week as required, including weekdays and weekends.
- Successful applicants will drive offenders to and from designated worksites and supervise work.
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check.
- Ability to drive official vehicles and hold a Class C driver’s licence.
- Current First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain prior to commencing.
