Join our team as a Consultant Radiologist on a fractional fixed term basis, to work across multiple Monash Health sites. In this role, you will be guided under the leadership of the relevant subspecialty head and working with the broader Radiology team.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality diagnostic reports and/or interventional radiology services across the MI network.
- Actively engage with medical colleagues to ensure timely care and best patient management.
- Provide a supportive learning environment for MH registrars, in particular MI radiology registrars.
- Participate in continuing education and service improvement activities.
- Support research & education initiatives within Monash Health.
- Role model professional conduct and the Monash Health ICARE values.
- Demonstrate compliance with all relevant Monash Health Policies and Procedures.
About You
To be successful in this healthcare role, you will bring the following demonstrated skills, experience, and attributes:
- Medical practitioner (MBBS or equivalent) registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists.
- Eligible for a Radiation Use License (Victoria - Australia).
- Must be able to report CT and general MRI.
Proficiency and Experience
- Breast imaging radiologist: Contrast mammography and Breast MRI reporting +/- biopsy experience desirable.
- Mid level interventional procedures (equivalent to RANZCR "Tier A" procedures, including but not limited to deep organ biopsies and drainages such as liver, lung, kidneys).
- The incumbent must complete the Credentialing and Scope of Practice process prior to appointment and commencement. This will be reviewed on a regular basis.
- Paediatric Radiologist: must be available on Wednesday morning.
Start Dates
Preferred start date October 2027 for breast or MID IR radiologist, but can be negotiated. Preferred start date for paediatric radiologist is as soon as possible but may also be negotiated.
