Prefab1 is a rapidly growing Victorian modular construction company delivering cutting-edge commercial building solutions across construction, manufacturing, logistics and installation.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our leadership team and take ownership of the day-to-day operational performance of the business.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will lead and coordinate our weldshop, yard, site shed fleet, plant and equipment, logistics and operational staff, while driving systems, efficiency and continuous improvement across the business.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

- Leading and developing operational teams across the weldshop, yard and logistics.
- Managing our site shed fleet, plant, equipment and assets.
- Coordinating resources, workflow and operational priorities.
- Driving productivity, efficiency, quality and accountability.
- Developing and improving operational systems, procedures and processes.
- Managing operational reporting, KPIs and administration.
- Supporting workforce planning, recruitment and performance.
- Ensuring strong WHS, quality and compliance standards.
- Researching new technologies, suppliers, systems and processes to improve the business.
- Working closely with the Construction,



Project Management and Executive teams.

About You

We are looking for a proven senior operational leader with experience in construction, manufacturing, modular/offsite construction, engineering or a related industry.

You will bring

- Senior operational leadership experience, ideally within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 environment.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Exceptional communication and people leadership skills.
- Excellent administration, organisation and reporting capability.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A proactive approach to systems improvement and operational efficiency.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- High accountability, initiative and attention to detail.

Experience with Procore, Breadcrumb, Microsoft 365 or similar platforms will be highly regarded.
