- Full-time (1.0 FTE) appointment on an ongoing basis.
- Base salary range: $99,040 – $104,669 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation.

The Payroll
Operations team is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant payroll services to university employees while providing expert payroll advice, stakeholder support and continuous improvement initiatives. The team works closely with leaders, employees and external providers to deliver across a complex and dynamic environment.
About the opportunity
- Coordinate the end-to-end payroll process, payroll reconciliations, journals and statutory reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely delivery.
- Maintain payroll system updates in line with legislative, policy, Enterprise agreement changes and business requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement and payroll service delivery through process review and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external providers.
About you
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end payroll processing within a medium to large and complex organisation.
- Solid knowledge of payroll legislation, statutory compliance requirements, awards and/or enterprise agreements.
- Proficient Excel skills and experience working with integrated payroll, HRIS, finance systems and reporting tools (experience with aPay and PeopleSoft will be highly regarded).
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to provide clear advice and resolve complex payroll matters.
- Strong analytical capability, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines while contributing positively to a team environment.
