Contract | Day Rate | South East Queensland An exceptional opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a Tier 1 contractor delivering one of South East Queensland's most significant infrastructure projects. This landmark development will transform the region's transport network and leave a lasting legacy on the landscape of South East Queensland.
We are seeking a highly capable structures engineer to support the early construction phases of a major viaduct package on a billion-dollar infrastructure project. This is a high-profile contract position offering the opportunity to play a key role in one of Australia's most complex civil engineering projects.
The Role
Working closely with the Project Manager and wider delivery team, you will be responsible for driving critical planning and delivery activities during the early stages of construction. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating major construction activities for a large-scale viaduct project.
- Managing procurement of key construction resources and specialist subcontractors.
- Coordinating major lifting operations, including large crawler cranes and heavy piling rigs.
- Managing and coordinating design consultants to ensure constructability and timely delivery of design packages.
- Mentoring and developing junior engineers within the project team.
- Working collaboratively with construction, commercial and planning teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Supporting the safe, efficient and timely delivery of major structural works.
About You To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally possess:
- Around 10+ years' experience delivering major civil infrastructure projects.
- A proven track record working for a Tier 1 civil contractor.
- Extensive experience delivering major reinforced concrete structures, including bridges, viaducts or similar large-scale infrastructure.
- Strong planning, procurement and construction coordination experience.
- Experience managing design consultants and coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience mentoring and developing engineers.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
