Pre-Sales Engineer / Solution Designer - Network (Full-time)

We are currently partnering with a global leading telecommunications company with a strong and expanding presence in Australia.

We are seeking an experienced and technically strong Pre-Sales Engineer / Solution Designer to join our client's growing Sydney team. This is a rare opportunity to be the technical backbone of a high-performing sales function - working across complex enterprise network solutions, customer engagements, and end-to-end project delivery within a globally recognised organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on the role, responsibilities may include:

- Working closely with the sales team to understand customer technical needs and design tailored network solutions
- Creating compelling proposals, responding to RFPs, and preparing comprehensive technical bidding documents
- Managing projects from initiation through to completion - overseeing resources, timelines, and project scope
- Cultivating and nurturing strong, long-term customer relationships
- Staying current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape




- Supporting all post-sales activities to ensure seamless solution delivery

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

- In-depth understanding of IT network infrastructure - routers, switches, firewalls, and related hardware
- Proficiency in Cisco and/or Huawei products; CCNP or HCIP certification (or higher) highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with CheckPoint, Fortigate, Palo Alto, F5 load balancers, and Layer 2/3 networking
- Broad IT knowledge covering systems, servers, storage, virtualisation, CCTV, and security systems
- Proven experience in a Pre-Sales, Sales Engineering, Network Engineering, Consulting, or Project Delivery role
- Strong ability to produce high-quality technical documentation and articulate complex concepts clearly
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and perform in a fast-paced sales environment
- PMP or equivalent project management certification is a significant advantage
- Mandarin proficiency is a plus
