About the role
We are seeking passionate and dedicated Qualified Early Childhood Educators to join our team at our Rural View QLD centre. This is a part-time position that plays a vital role in providing high-quality, engaging early childhood education and care experiences for children in our service.
As a Qualified Early Childhood Educator, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, inclusive and developmentally appropriate environment where children can learn, play and grow. Your expertise and warmth will directly impact the lives of the children and families we serve.
Key responsibilities
1. Plan, implement and evaluate educational programmes based on children's interests, needs and developmental stages, aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework
2. Provide direct care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and comfort at all times
3. Foster positive relationships with children, promoting their emotional development, social skills and independence
4. Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, learning and development through observations, reflections and discussions
5. Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming learning environment that promotes exploration and discovery
6. Collaborate with colleagues to support inclusive practices and ensure all children feel valued and respected
7. Document children's learning and development through observations and assessments
8.
Participate in professional development and stay current with best practices in early childhood education
9. Uphold high standards of health and safety, including infection control and duty of care
What we're looking for
1. Current Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent qualification recognised in Australia)
2. Current First Aid and CPR certification
3. Working With Children Check (Blue Card) or willingness to obtain one
4. Passion for early childhood education and a genuine love of working with young children
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
6. Ability to create inclusive, welcoming environments where all children feel safe and supported
7. Knowledge of child development theories and current early childhood education practices
8. Flexibility, patience and a sense of humour
9. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional standards
10. Experience in a childcare or educational setting is highly valued
