The Metropolitan Hotel is a well‐loved hospitality destination in Mackay and part of the Australian Venue Co. network. We're on the lookout for a reliable, hands‐on Duty Manager to join our leadership team and help drive great guest experiences across the venue.

This is a fantastic prospect for a hospitality leader who enjoys variety, thrives on the floor, and wants to build a long‐term career with a growing venue group.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee day‐to‐day floor operations
- Lead, support and motivate the team during your shift
- Ensure high standards of guest service, presentation and compliance
- Manage guest feedback and resolve issues professionally
- Support cash handling, reporting and venue security procedures
- Ensure RSA and other compliance obligations are met at all times
- Work closely with the Venue Manager and broader leadership team

What We're Looking For





- Previous experience in a Duty Manager or supervisory hospitality role
- Current RSA
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and solutions‐focused during busy periods
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and nights
- A proactive, hands‐on approach and genuine passion for hospitality
