Personal Support Workers – Mackay

About The Role

We are seeking a Personal Support Worker for one morning and one evening shift per week, for a total of seven hours. You will assist clients in their daily living activities, helping them maintain independence in their own homes.

- Assisting with transfers in and out of bed and wheelchairs (hoists used when necessary)
- Providing personal care: grooming, bathing, dressing, and hygiene
- Supporting basic wound care and self‐medication
- Offering domestic support: meal prep, light housekeeping, and laundry
- Facilitating community access: driving clients to appointments and social activities

About You

We seek passionate individuals with an empathetic nature and a positive attitude. You should be able to communicate effectively and treat others with dignity and respect. No prior experience is necessary, as we provide extensive training.

Requirements

- Valid driver's licence and reliable vehicle
- Smartphone device
- Current NDIS Workers Screening Card (Yellow Card) or willingness to obtain it
- Eligibility to apply for a Working with Children Check
- Completion of the NDIS Workers Orientation Module or willingness to complete it
- Flexibility to work a fixed fortnightly roster with varying shift times
