Sales & Marketing Manager (Technical)

They are now seeking an experienced Sales & Marketing Manager (Technical) to join their Senior Management Team and lead the organisation commercially.

About the Role

This senior position is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening customer partnerships and positioning Whitty Engineering as a preferred supplier of engineered solutions across domestic and international markets.

You’ll lead technical sales strategy, key account management, estimating oversight and brand/market positioning — working closely with engineering, operations, fabrication and project teams to deliver high‑quality outcomes for customers.

This role suits a technical sales professional who brings clarity, credibility and a values‑driven approach to growth.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Business Development

- Lead technical sales strategy aligned with engineering capability

- Identify new markets, customer segments and product opportunities

- Manage the full technical sales pipeline from enquiry to contract award

- Provide accurate forecasting, reporting and market intelligence





Key Account Management (Domestic & International)

- Manage major customer relationships, including international OEMs

- Provide technical advice and solution recommendations

- Develop long-term account plans and support product innovation

Estimating, Scoping & Commercial Support

- Oversee the Project Estimator and ensure accurate, feasible costings

- Collaborate with engineering, drafting and operations to validate scope

- Support tenders, proposals and pricing models

Marketing, Brand & Technical Communications

- Lead marketing strategy and brand positioning

- Oversee digital marketing, campaigns and technical content

- Develop capability statements, case studies and product documentation

Leadership & Culture

- Coach and develop the Project Estimator

- Promote collaboration, professionalism and high performance

- Model Whitty Engineering’s values and robust customer service

Senior Management Team Contribution

- Participate in whole‑of‑business planning and decision-making

- Provide timely reporting on performance, risks and emerging issues

- Strengthen systems, processes and cross‑department collaboration

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings:

- Proven experience in technical sales, business development or account management within engineering, manufacturing,



fabrication or industrial environments

- Strong ability to translate customer needs into engineered solutions

- Experience interpreting drawings/specifications and supporting accurate estimating

- Excellent communication, relationship-building and leadership capability

- Strategic thinking with practical problem-solving skills

- Values-driven, reliable and committed to continuous improvement

- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Marketing or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
