Youth Outreach Case Manager (2 Positions) Bundaberg | Part-Time (0.8 FTE) Permanent | SCHADS Level 4

Be the difference beyond the office. Some young people need more than a service—they need someone willing to meet them where they're at. As a Youth Outreach Case Manager, you'll work alongside young people and young families experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness, providing practical support, advocacy and genuine connection that helps them build safer, more independent futures. You will be supporting a young person into reliable housing, the next you're helping reconnect them with education, employment, health services or family. About the role

Working within The Salvation Army's Youth Services, you'll provide intensive, trauma-informed outreach support to young people and young families experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Using a strengths-based approach, you'll help young people identify their goals, overcome barriers and build the confidence, skills and resilience needed to achieve long-term stability. You'll work collaboratively with families, community organisations, housing providers, schools and health services to coordinate practical, person-centred support that delivers meaningful outcomes.

What you'll bring

- Experience supporting young people experiencing homelessness, trauma or other complex challenges.
- Strong case management skills with the ability to build meaningful, trusting relationships.
- A strengths-based, trauma-informed and person-centred approach to practice.
- Confidence working independently in community and outreach settings.
- Excellent communication, advocacy and problem-solving skills.




- The ability to respond calmly and professionally in complex and changing situations.
- A commitment to culturally safe, inclusive practice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse communities and LGBTQIA+ young people.

Essential requirements

- Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum two years' experience in case management or supporting people with complex needs.
- Current Queensland Driver Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to travel throughout the Bundaberg region.
