EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT TO THE CEO
SOUTH OF THE RIVER
3 MONTH CONTRACT
$67.71 PER HOUR
IMMEDIATE START!
- Delivery of confidential and high-quality executive support services to the CEO and Shire President and other staff (as required).
- Being the first point of contact and handling of incoming and outgoing correspondence on behalf of the CEO and Shire President.
- Management of the CEO's daily schedule and meetings.
- Monitoring and assessment of all telephone, written and personal enquiries. Respond to enquiries or refer to relevant Director or officer if appropriate, including appointments.
- Research and coordinate response to Councillor requests and assist in preparation of presentations to Councillors.
- Plan and organise meetings and appointments to ensure that the relevant officers and the necessary information are available. Ensure that the diaries remain current. Attend meetings as required.
- Coordinate and liaise between the CEO, Shire President, councillors, Directors and other officers.
- Other duties as requested by the CEO.
- Ensure all correspondence and reports are filed and maintained in the records management system
- Coordinate and facilitate special projects as directed by the CEO.
- Assist in the research and preparation of reports for meeting agendas as required.
- Initiate follow up actions from meetings.
- Coordinate and meet with other PA's and support staff on a regular basis to work on various projects as required
Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated experience within in a similar position within Local Government. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, first rate secretarial skills and professional manner
- Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
- Advanced computer operation skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and to use initiative.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, use initiative and be well organised.
- Versatile and proactive approach to supporting the needs of the CEO and Shire President.
- Current "C" class drivers licence.
- Experience in agenda preparation and taking minutes.
Desirable Criteria
- Understanding of the operation of local government.
- Experience with the TechnologyOne suite of products (or similar).
