Sydney Based | Major Projects | Data Centres, Infrastructure & Construction

MMD Recruitment is seeking experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to support major data centre, infrastructure and construction projects across Sydney.

This role would suit a commercially strong Quantity Surveyor with experience across data centres, commercial building, infrastructure, energy, utilities or major construction projects. You will work closely with project teams, commercial managers and clients to support cost management, contract administration, progress claims, variations, procurement and financial reporting.

About the Role

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing key commercial and cost control functions across live projects, with a strong focus on complex packages, subcontractor management and financial reporting across major project environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and manage cost reports, forecasts and project financial updates
- Review and assess subcontractor claims, variations and progress payments
- Support client-side claims, EOTs and commercial submissions
- Assist with procurement, tender comparisons and subcontractor negotiations
- Monitor project budgets, cost performance and commercial risks
- Support contract administration and ensure compliance with contract requirements
- Work closely with project managers, engineers and commercial teams
- Manage commercial inputs across data centre, services, building and infrastructure packages




- Maintain accurate registers, records and reporting documentation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 7+ years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor
- Experience working on data centres, commercial building, infrastructure, utilities, energy, rail, roads or major construction projects
- Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting, claims, variations and subcontractor management
- Exposure to complex services, MEP, electrical, civil or structural packages will be highly regarded
- Experience working with head contractors, consultancies or client-side organisations
- Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Ability to work closely with project delivery and commercial teams
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline
