One of our federal Government clients is seeking to engage Full Stack/.NET Developer for QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA, TAS

Please note Candidate must have Baseline Security clearance

1-Senior Application and Systems Developer-EL1

- Initial contract duration- 12 months
- Extension term-24 months
- Experience level - Senior - EL1 equivalent
- Location of work- QLD, VIC, NSW
- Working arrangements -Hybrid

Job details The objective of this role is to assist in the uplift of critical CMS letter and decision templates and in the remediation and implementation of urgent updates and changes to applications, systems, and other capabilities and functions. This is a hands-on role requiring flexibility and understanding during a period of substantial organisational change.

Key duties and responsibilities

- Utilise JIRA and Scrum or Kanban approaches to deliver tasks, changes and products to ensuring delivery of high-quality products and user experience (where possible)
- Work closely with business, technology and corporate service users to help identify causal problems and requirements to ensure the right problem is solved (with technology)
- Make and contribute ideas, innovation and suggestions to resolve a list of simple to complex challenges with consideration to short-, medium- and long-term approaches and solutions.
- Work closely with the Director Platforms, Cyber Security and Support teams to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, reporting requirements, risk management and identify and seek exemptions where required.

Specialist Accountabilities

- Re-development and maintenance of .NET or similar applications
- Re-development and maintenance of Microsoft Word macro & non-macro templates
- Re-development and maintenance of web-based systems, applications and reporting solutions
- Assist with the detailed planning, execution, testing and documentation of application updates

Technical skills
- .NET stack, such as C#, .NET Framework,



.NET Core • Visual Studio • Microsoft Web API / REST Architecture • CI/CD, DevOps, automated testing • SQL Server • Word m

Essential criteria

- 1.1. Experience working with Government in customer-focused service delivery, managing competing priorities, and delivering in a rapid-paced change environment.
- 2.2. Experience in agile delivery and using JIRA and Service Now or similar.
- 3.3. Strong ability to work independently and be accountable for outcomes

Desirable criteria

- 1.1. Holding an Australian Government Security Clearance is beneficial.
- 2.2. Accreditation in agile or technology frameworks.

2-Software Developer

- Initial contract duration-3 Months
- Extension term-24 months
- Working arrangements-Hybrid

Key duties and responsibilities As a Software Engineer (Developer) - Full Stack/.NET Developer, you will be required to:

- Work as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team to participate in agile ceremonies including planning and estimation
- Write clean, testable, maintainable and scalable code that meets the stated acceptance criteria
- Collaborate with team members and other delivery teams to achieve outcomes
- Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC)
- Work under limited supervision
- Participate in design, planning, and estimation sessions
- Work with a range of stakeholders to develop enterprise-class software to specification
- Collaborate with delivery team members to produce quality work
- Work within the department’s delivery framework
- Supervise and support less experienced developers
- Good understanding of .NET coding principles: NET Core / .NET 5,6,7,8




- Good understanding of .NET Framework
- Good understanding of Vue3
- Familiarity and ability to code with SQL Server
- Good understanding of GIT

Essential criteria

- 1.Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced agile delivery environment to produce high quality software using an enterprise toolset and delivery framework.
- 2.The ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person and via video conferencing.
- 3.Demonstrated application development experience working on either high-volume transactional systems and/or complex integrated systems.
- 4.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a flair for creating innovative solutions.
- 5.Experience working in an Agile software development environment and experience using Agile development toolsets.

Desirable criteria

- 1.Previous experience in a Government Agency is desired, including the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations.
- 2.Experience with any of the following:
- o C#, .NET Core, .NET 5,6,7,8, SQL, Vue3 and CA GEN or other object-oriented programming language
- o Bash or PowerShell scripting o Coding in R
- o Experience with source control o Unit / Automated UI testing
- o Provisioning and managing cloud technology or infrastructure as code
- o Experience provisioning Azure Data environments.
- o Experience with Visual Studio 2019 / 2022, Visual Studio Code or Jetbrains Rider
- o Microsoft Web API / REST Architecture
- o D365 and PowerApps o Modern software development utilising Microsoft Azure PaaS Services (App Service, Function App, APIM, Service Bus, Azure SQL)
- o Modern JavaScript frameworks such as Typescript / JQuery.
- o Reactive frontend frameworks including React, Vue or Angular
- o CSS frameworks including Bootstrap
- o CI/CD Practices
- o SQL Server 2014 and later
