Cost & Finance Analyst

An exciting opportunity for a Cost & Finance Analyst to support a major Defence capability program within the Collaborative and Autonomous Systems Project Office (CASPO) . This role will see you working across complex project activities, providing critical financial forecasting, cost modelling, estimation, and commercial analysis to support long-term investment and program delivery outcomes. Working within a collaborative Defence and industry workplace, you will provide trusted financial insights and help drive informed decision-making across a high-profile autonomous systems capability program.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support financial management activities, including project forecasting, cost estimation, and cost modelling.
- Analyse cost drivers, trends, and variances to provide actionable financial insights.
- Provide financial and commercial advice to project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to procurement and tender-related financial analysis activities.
- Support compliance with Defence financial frameworks, governance requirements, and reporting standards.




- Improve financial management tools, reporting capability, and business processes.
- Assist with project support and delivery activities across the broader enterprise.

Key Skills & Experience:

- 5+ years' experience in cost estimation, financial modelling, forecasting, or project controls.
- Experience working within Defence, government, or other complex project environments.
- Strong understanding of Defence financial management and procurement processes.
- Advanced Excel skills, including financial modelling, forecasting, and data analysis.
- Exposure to Power BI or other business intelligence and reporting tools is highly regarded.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and data integrity.
