Shift Supervisor (2IC) Casual Position – Choofas Smokehouse & Seafood

Core Responsibilities

- Operational Leadership: Supervise shifts, coordinate floor and kitchen flow, cash and till management, open and close the venue.
- Staff Management: Train recent hires, guide team members, and help build staff rosters.
- Quality & Safety Control: Enforce food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety rules.
- Inventory & Ordering: Track stock levels, receive deliveries, and manage supplier items.
- Problem Solving: Handle guest complaints or fix equipment and service issues on the fly

Key Requirements & Experience: This is a casual position up to 30 hours a week including two days off for the right candidate.

· 2 to 3 years working in a busy restaurant or food service environment.

· Provide excellent customer service to our customers.





· Ensure our customers have the best possible dining experience.

· Managing host desk including reservation management, greeting, seating and serving customers.

· Extensive Front of House experience including table service.

· The ability to lead a team

· Bar and POS experience is also essential

· The ability to learn a large menu in a short amount of time

· Excellent presentation and communication skills

· Ability to stay calm under pressure, direct a team, and communicate clearly.

Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of local food safety laws, hygiene standards, and point-of-sale (POS) systems

Current QLD RSA essential
