National Civil & Foundations Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Skilled Labourers/Offsiders to join our growing team. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to work on diverse civil and foundation projects across the region. In this role, you will provide essential support to our skilled tradespeople, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.
Your contribution will be vital to the successful delivery of our construction and civil works, making you an integral part of our operations.
Key responsibilities
- Assisting skilled tradespeople with the setup, preparation and execution of civil and foundation works
- Performing manual labour tasks including excavation, site preparation, material handling and transportation
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised work site in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Operating hand tools and light machinery under supervision and instruction
- Assisting with the installation, assembly and dismantling of temporary structures and formwork
- Loading and unloading materials, equipment and waste from vehicles and site locations
- Following all site-specific safety procedures, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) and reporting hazards or incidents immediately
- Communicating effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure coordinated and efficient work
- Performing general housekeeping duties to maintain site conditions and productivity
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a skilled labourer or offsider in civil construction or foundation works
- A current White Card (Construction Induction Certificate)
- Strong physical fitness and ability to perform demanding manual labour consistently
- A solid understanding of health and safety practices and a genuine commitment to working safely on site
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and familiarity with common construction equipment
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to take direction from supervisors
- Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A valid driver's licence is advantageous
- Dogman, earthmoving equipment, spotters and traffic control tickets are highly valued
