About Uniting Mingaletta, Port Macquarie

Situated in Port Macquarie, Uniting Mingaletta is a residential aged care facility offering a welcoming living environment. The facility is designed using the household model of care, fostering a warm, family‑like atmosphere to ensure every resident feels at home. We have single rooms, and the facility is currently undergoing a room refurbishment to modernise facilities.

Position Overview

As a Care Worker, you will provide compassionate, person‑centred care to residents living in our aged care facility. Your support enables residents to retain independence and maximise their quality of life in a safe and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide care, companionship and emotional support to residents to help support their independence and improve their quality of life.
- Assist with daily living tasks such as showering, personal hygiene, dressing, help at mealtimes and general mobility.
- Assist with medication and simple wound dressings.
- Support residents in community‑based recreational and social activities.

Qualifications & Experience

- Hold a Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Ageing), or equivalent qualification.
- Must have 3‑6 months experience in aged care or community care.
- Experience in memory support or household living model is highly desirable.
- Be adaptable, empathetic, and resourceful, and live Uniting’s everyday values of being compassionate, respectful, imaginative, and bold.
- Provide a culturally safe and inclusive work workplace.
- Ability to adapt to changing shifts if required.
- A genuine passion for elderly care,



empathy, patience, and strong communication skills.
