Senior Manager Finance, Budgeting and Reporting – NSW Trustee and Guardian
Ongoing full-time opportunity. Location: Parramatta and Sydney CBD. Flexible and hybrid working options available.
Clerk Grade: Level 11/12. Base salary $154,231 p.a. to $178,369 p.a. plus 12% superannuation and annual leave loading.

About the Team
The Financial Performance and Investments Division supports the financial and investment needs of clients, managing properties, shares, investments, and other assets. It processes payments and receipts, handles taxation matters, develops financial plans and budgets, and provides corporate frameworks, tools and services for procurement, project management governance and budgeting and reporting.
About the Role
The Senior Manager Finance, Budgeting and Reporting supports the financial management of NSW Trustee and Guardian, providing timely and appropriate financial information to internal and external stakeholders, and building organisation‑wide financial literacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead finance, budgeting and external reporting functions.
- Ensure accurate statutory reporting, financial and performance reporting.
- Maintain strong financial governance frameworks, systems, policies and procedures.
- Provide expert advice and engage with stakeholders to support informed decision‑making.
About You
We are looking for an experienced finance leader with a strong track record in financial management, accounting, budgeting and reporting within a complex environment. You should possess strong business partnering skills and be able to provide transparent financial analysis, advice and insights to support executive decision‑making and organisational performance.

- Have exceptional business partnership and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Have experience finalising financial statements for inclusion in annual reports.
- Be skilled in preparing budgets, forecasts and performance reports.
- Have a sound understanding of Australian Accounting Standards, statutory reporting and NSW Government financial requirements.
- Can provide high‑quality financial advice and insights to support business planning and decision‑making.
- Have experience leading and developing finance teams to deliver accurate, timely and customer‑focused outcomes.
- Hold tertiary qualifications in finance, business management, commerce and/or accounting, with CA or CPA qualifications and membership.
- Understand NSW Government and NSWTG’s services and client base.
- Are willing to travel between our Parramatta and City offices as required.
Key Knowledge And Experience
- Extensive experience and a record of achievement in financial services or other relevant fields in a complex work environment.
Essential Requirements
- Tertiary qualifications and knowledge, skills and experience in a relevant discipline or industry such as finance, business management, commerce, and/or accounting.
- CA and CPA qualifications and membership.
- Understanding of NSW government and NSWTG’s key services and client base.
