We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic Disability Support Workers to provide quality support to our disability participants in the Northern Perth Metro area.
The role:
You will be providing exceptional support to participants in their homes and in the community. Activities may include personal care, domestic tasks, transport and social assistance for participants to engage in community activities.
This is a casual role on commencement, you choose when you work, and when you have time off! Upon mutual agreement this could be converted to a part time role in future.
The role may require early morning starts or late afternoon finishes.
You must have:
- Experience with Epilepsy and Seizure Management
- Experience with Dysphagia
- Experience working with children
- Experience as a support worker in the health/disability sector
- Certificate III in Disability or equivalent experience
- NDIS Worker Screening (or willing to obtain)
- Working With Children Check - W.A. (or willing to obtain)
- Proof of working rights - passport; birth certificate; visa
- A reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance
- Experience with complex care needs: catheter management, wound management, spinal care etc.
- Regular casual ongoing work or permanent opportunities
- Ongoing training and professional development
- A positive working setting with an approachable management team
