Key Responsibilities

- Work in a metalworking manufacturing environment.
- Product assembly and process work through to final packaging and shipping.
- Interpret and understand basic technical drawings accurately for assembly procedures.
- Use Apple iPads as part of the workflow; an intermediate level of computer skills is favored.
- Work unsupervised while receiving training on software and procedures.
- Maintain a strong focus on tasks, demonstrate craftsmanship and take pride in work.
- Adapt to other jobs as needed to ensure the continuity of VAN RUTH®.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform general duties such as on‑demand tidy‑ups, end‑of‑week clean‑ups, and upkeep of machines, workshop, and grounds.

Requirements

- Certificate III – Warehousing is an advantage.
- Previous experience in a metalworking factory.




- Accurate checking of purchase order quantities, types, and sizes; strong math, double‑checking, and note‑taking skills.
- Forklift ticket and ability to operate a forklift safely.
- Robust skills in box packing, strapping, jack wrapping, palletising, and accurate labeling.
- Master the use of Packing Slips and shipping instructions, including understanding software, utilising it, and emailing documents with quantity, type, size, and accurate weights and measures.
- Physically fit and present in a neat and tidy manner; short hair required due to rotating machinery.
- Able to perform manual handling and lifting of equipment and products safely.
- Pass a police clearance check.
- Australian citizen with relevant experience in the Australian market.
