We are seeking a Site Structural Engineer with 2–3 years’ experience to join our growing team. This role suits an engineer with residential experience who is confident undertaking site inspections, interpreting drawings, and preparing clear technical reports.

You will work across a range of residential projects, completing inspections and assessments and producing professional reports. The role offers exposure to complex matters, including defect assessments and insurance-related work, within a supportive, quality-focused consultancy.

About the Role

- Undertaking residential site inspections, including slabs, footings, and upper floor framing
- Reviewing construction outcomes against approved engineering drawings and documentation
- Assessing slab cracking, defects, and structural performance
- Completing inspections and assessments related to insurance claims and remedial works
- Preparing explicit, accurate inspection reports with findings, recommendations, and photographic evidence
- Providing technical input and advice to clients, builders, and internal stakeholders
- Building and maintaining professional client relationships through clear communication and reliable delivery
- Applying sound engineering judgement to develop practical, compliant solutions




- Supporting technical standards within the team and contributing to continuous improvement
- Working in accordance with WHS requirements and company procedures

About You

- Structural Engineer with approximately 2–3 years’ experience in residential structural engineering and site-based inspections
- Tertiary qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Ability to confidently read and interpret floor plans and structural documentation
- Experience with residential structural inspections and reporting
- Exposure to slab cracking assessments and defect investigations
- Experience with insurance-related inspections is advantageous
- WA Driver’s Licence (unrestricted)
- Construction White Card
- Strong written communication and report‑writing skills
- Sound judgement, attention to detail, and time management
- A proactive, safety‑focused approach to site work
