Master Butchers Co-Operative Ltd is a diverse business with three locations and over 135 employees.

MBL Proteins is a division of Master Butchers Co-operative LTD and operates recycling plants across three sites in South Australia. MBL Proteins takes organic by product material (such as offal) from the meat, poultry and seafood industries and process it into tallow and meat meal.

Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Fitter to join the MBL Proteins operations team located in Wingfield, South Australia.

As a critical member of the maintenance team, reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all maintenance functions within the production facility. This includes overseeing the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of production processes.

Key Responsibilities





- Trade Qualifications preferred
- Day to day operations of the plant
- Identify the route cause analysis and fault findings
- Conduct general maintenance and preventative maintenance
- Attend breakdown situations in a timely and efficient manner
- Shift work will be required at times.
- Follow and maintain all company & safe work processes and procedures.
- Be able to work independently and within a team

Essential Skills

- Excellent fault-finding skills
- Experience with Welding - MIG, Arc and TIG welding
- Pipe Welding experience
- Experience in the meat or poultry manufacturing industry preferred
- Forklift License
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Driver License
- A strong work ethic and ability to work under pressure
